The Tobacco Education Clearinghouse of California (TECC) has a team of dedicated and knowledgeable staff including a librarian and resource specialists, customer service and warehouse staff, print and production specialist, graphic designer, and administrative staff.

We support the efforts of educators, advocates and health care professionals in California and across the nation working to reduce the harmful effects of tobacco in our communities. We work with a focus on accuracy, timeliness and accessibility. And, our primary goal is to ensure our clients and customers get the information and resources they need when they need them.

Our services include:

  • Sales Catalog
    A sales catalog with an extensive product line of over 560 tobacco education and advocacy materials used by schools, health care agencies, and community activists. Many of our materials can be customized with your local information, quit line number or health message.
  • Resource Library Services
    A comprehensive library of over 27,000 resources plus research and reference assistance. Available to projects funded by the California Tobacco Control Program only.

TECC is operated by ETR Associates, with funding from the California Department of Public Health, California Tobacco Control Program.

ETR Associates is a national nonprofit health education agency that provides comprehensive services for the development, implementation, evaluation and dissemination of critical public health initiatives. Much of our work is devoted to creating programs that demonstrate a positive impact on health-related attitudes and behaviors, and to building the capacity of organizations to implement such programs.

ETR’s primary areas of expertise include: HIV, STD and teen pregnancy prevention; behavioral health; community service / service-learning; chronic disease prevention and management; parenting and early childhood education; tobacco use prevention and cessation; and youth and girls development.

ETR has managed the TECC project since its inception 20 years ago.
