Smoking and Peripheral Artery Disease in Women

For women who smoke 15 or more cigarettes per day, the risk of peripheral artery disease (PAD) is 10 times higher than women who have never smoked. Women who quit smoking more than 20 years earlier still had a higher risk for PAD compared to women who had never smoked. Findings are available online in an easy to follow patient summary sheet.

TECC has several pieces designed for women audiences. Show your support of smoke-free lifestyles with these cool “Free Your Lungs” and “Fresh Air” T-shirts from our catalog.
