This fact card dispels common myths about hookahs being safer to smoke than traditional cigarettes. Some of the facts about hookah use: hookah smoke contains two times more nicotine than cigarette smoke; the charcoal used in hookah pipes adds even more carbon monoxide to the tobacco; water pipe bubbles do not filter out harmful chemicals; hookah smoking leads to addiction to nicotine, among other risks.
